What is Energy Therapy?
We are all comprised of molecular energy and we are in constant energy exchange with our environment. Just as we breath oxygen and exhale carbon-dioxide, we are designed to take in energy through our chakras and cells and release it in the same way. Energy also circulates through our body on meridian pathways that look similar to blood vessels when mapped in the human body. An energy therapist is skilled in accessing energy and assisting in this exchange and circulation by removing blockages and increasing and balancing energy flow.
There are many different energy healing modalities that are popular today including reiki, integrated energy therapy, pranic healing and therapeutic touch, to name just a few. Each practitioner may be skilled in different methods – but each one is designed to achieve the same goal - to heal the body, mind and soul by removing blockages in one’s energy field and by raising one’s energetic vibration.
What is involved in an Intuitive Energy Therapy Session?
When a practitioner has trained in different modalities, an intuitive energy session allows that practitioner to assess a client’s needs and work with different methods to best suit the client in the moment.
An energy therapy session typically involves either gentle touch or no touch. You lie down fully clothed in a relaxed environment. You may choose to receive feedback from the practitioner as he or she works – to assist you in understanding where there are blockages and perhaps why these exist so that you are more aware and empowered going forward. Or your treatment can be silent so that you can relax more deeply.
What are the benefits of Energy Therapy?
Everyone can benefit from the heightened state of well-being and the calm and relaxation that results from an energy therapy session. Energy therapy can also be particularly helpful with the following:
