Gentle Chair Yoga Classes
By using props such as a chairs, blocks and straps, the focus of this class is on creating alignment and functional movement suited to each student. Props are often viewed as a way to 'cheat' a yoga pose when the opposite is often true. A prop such as a chair or block enables anyone to be able to perform a yoga pose. The use of props in a posture allow the body to be supported so that practitioners can engage in poses that would otherwise be more difficult.
Join us for this class and find how even some of the more difficult poses are accessible to all with the use of a chair and even some of the easier postures are made more effective.
This class is specifically designed for any person with limited mobility/flexibility due to ailments that restrict movement or those that want to give something new a try.
Wednesday nights 6:30-7:30 pm
Cost $14.50 (HST included)

About Your Teacher: Stephanie Miloknay is a yoga teacher, Registered Social Worker, Reiki and IET® practitioner.
“When I first came to yoga I never would have guessed what a transformation it would bring about my life; how it would change my relationships, my career, and how I value and utilize time. It wasn't that yoga gave me a prescribed path, but it helped me begin to recognize the doubt and fear that tainted my decisions. I realized yoga was a tool for self- discovery, reflection, and willpower. The more I practiced the more obvious it became to me that I wanted to make yoga central in my life and help bring it to others. I teach classes designed to balance physical and mental discipline with openness and ease, bringing these qualities together through mindful movement.”
